Commentators: Mike Tenay & Taz
Report by: Josh Boutwell of Wrestleview.com
3 days away from “Hardcore Justice” this week’s Impact opens up with highlights from last week. After the intro TNA announces that RVD is teaming with Tommy Dreamer to face Raven & Abyss tonight! Taz says he saw a few familiar faces in the locker room and we should expect some surprises tonight. Dreamer’s music then hits the Extreme one makes his way out to the ring.
Tenay says that Dreamer will face Raven at Hardcore Justice. Dreamer gets on the microphone and demands that Raven comes out now because he has some explaining to do. Raven’s music hits and the former ECW World Heavyweight (and NWA/TNA World Heavyweight) Champion makes his way out onto the entrance ramp and stares at Dreamer. Dreamer asks Raven why he turned on him last week and says they were the best of friends and the worst of enemies in the past. He says he thought they had put everything between them in the past and that when Raven comes to his house his kids call him Uncle Scotty. Raven kneels down on the stage and says that he and Dreamer have known each other for 30 years as the douchebag fans chant “Uncle Scotty” at Raven. Raven asks Dreamer if he thinks he will ever forgive him for taking away his girl (Beulah). Raven says she was HIS. Dreamer looks confused. Raven says that Dreamer stole her and married her and their kids should be his. Raven says he bid his time and waiting knowing that Dreamer would commit his heart and soul to something. He says he laughed at Dreamer’s stupid jokes waiting for the moment and he finally got his moment. Raven says those kids shouldn’t be calling him Uncle Scotty, they should call him daddy. Dreamer drops the microphone and starts walking towards Raven as he tells Dreamer that he’s going to cripple Dreamer at Hardcore Justice and then he’ll find ex and give her some ‘hard justice’ of his own and then she’ll call him daddy. Dreamer punches Raven in the face and the fight is on. Abyss runs up the ramp and attacks Dreamer!
Abyss screams at Dreamer and then gets ready to Chokeslam him off the stage but RVD comes from behind and nails him with a chair! RVD then throws the chair at Abyss knocking him down the ramp. Abyss rolls off the ramp and RVD follows with a Flying Back Kick! RVD nails Abyss with the chair several more times and then we cut to Raven and Dreamer where Raven Evenflow DDT’s Dreamer on the ramp! Raven poses but then Mick Foley walks up from behind with the barbed wire baseball bat and nails Raven with it as he turns around! Foley picks up the microphone and says that at Hardcore Justice he will make sure that there WILL be a winner in Raven & Dreamer’s final showdown because he will be the Special Referee! Cactus then rakes the barbed wire on Raven’s forehead and leaves Raven laying.
At the announce table Tenay and Taz hype up the card for tonight. Tenay says that things are getting extreme with 3days to go until Hardcore Justice. Tonight Beer Money Inc. faces Motor City Machine Guns in Match 4 of their Best of 5 Series and it will be in Ultimate X! Also tonight Flair will go one-on-one with Lethal in a Street Fight and Tenay announces that if any member of Fourtune interferes then Flair will be suspended for 90 days without pay. The Beautiful People’s music then interrupts Tenay and Taz and Velvet Sky & Lacey Von Erich walk out.

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships
The Beautiful People (c) vs. Hamada & Taylor Wilde
God, I love Velvet Sky’s entrance. Both Taylor and Hamada are former Knockout Tag Champs (Hamada with Kong and Taylor with Sarita). A “welcome back” chant starts directed at Hamada as they come into the ring. Taylor and Lacey will kick this match off. Lacey taunts Taylor at the bell showing off her chest and then Taylor tells her to do a spin. The genius that is Lacey does it and Taylor quickly rolls her up! 1…2…NO Lacey kicks out! Taylor then hits the ropes but Velvet grabs her by the hair and slams her down. Lacey then goes for a spinning heel kick but Taylor ducks and hits a Spinning Leg Sweep. Taylor then hits the ropes again and goes for a Cross Body but Lacey catches her in midair and hits a Fall Away Slam. Taylor tags in Hamada who rolls underneath a clothesline attempt from Lacey. Hamada then kicks Lacey and hits a headbutt and a chop. Hamada follows up with more headbutts and chops and then a spinning back elbow. Hamada then hits the ropes but Velvet grabs her. Hamada then turns around and hits a Jawbreaker on Velvet onto the top rope and then into a sloppy Spinning Knee (I think it was meant to be a Spinning Heel Kick). 1…2…NO Hamada kicks out. Velvet tags in and then puts the boots to Hamada as Lacey holds her. Velvet hits a Snapmare Takeover and then kicks Hamada in the back and gets a nearfall. Lacey tags back in and BP slam Hamada into the corner repeatedly and then they hit a double clothesline for a nearfall. Lacey taunts Hamada and then goes for her Moonsault Elbow Drop but Hamada rolls out of the way. Lacey then gets to her feet and goes for another Elbow Drop but Hamada rolls out of the way again. They both get to their feet and Hamada nails Lacey with a elbow and then a big headbutt and she tags in Taylor. Taylor comes into the ring and nails Lacey with a series of Forearms and then a German Suplex! 1…2…NO Velvet breaks it up. Hamada grabs Velvet and throws her into the corner and puts the boots to her. Taylor and Hamada try to whip BP into each other but BP reverse the Irish Whip sending Taylor and Hamada at each other, but Hamada and Taylor hook each others arms and spin each other into BP! Taylor hits a clothesline on Lacey and Hamada nails Velvet with a Yakuza Kick! Hamada beats on Velvet in the corner as Madison Rayne walks out onto the ramp and then the mystery woman drives up to ringside with her motorcycle. Hamada and Taylor look on in surprise as the mystery woman walks to ringside. In the ring Lacey and Velvet attack Hamada and Taylor from behind. Lacey dumps Taylor out of the ring and follows. Velvet attempts to whip Hamada into the ropes but Hamada reverses it and then ducks a clothesline and then both girls hit the ropes and both grab each other by the hair and slam each other to the mat. On the outside Taylor slams Lacey into the ring apron. Back in the ring Velvet tries to slap Hamada but Hamada ducks and Velvet nails referee Slick Johnson. Velvet and Hamada then start brawling out to the floor. Lacey drags Taylor back into the ring and the mystery woman hands her a chair. Lacey turns around and Taylor dropkicks the chair into her face! Slick Johnson turns around and literally makes the 3 count on top of that damn chair.
Winners & NEW Knockouts Tag Champs: Taylor & Hamada via pinfall (dropkick)
After the match Hamada and Taylor celebrate their win while Velvet is pissed in the ring. Taz asks how the hell Slick Johnson didn’t see that chair (good question) in the ring. Velvet Sky has a damn sh*t fit in the ring.
———————-COMMERCIAL BREAK—————————–
TNA World Television Championship
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (c) w/Kazarian vs. “The Freak” Rob Terry
Tenay talks about how Flair was a multi-time Television Champion in his career and how so many Four Horsemen members back in the day held TV Titles. Hebner demands Kazarian go to the back before the match, but before Kaz even gets a chance to leave Terry clotheslines both AJ & Kaz over the top rope to the floor! Terry then climbs to the floor and actually Press Slams AJ into the ring. Terry then chases Kaz to the back. AJ goes for a Springboard move but Terry shoves AJ off the ropes! Terry whips AJ into the ropes and goes for a Big Boot but AJ hangs onto the ropes. AJ then charges at Terry but eats a clothesline from the big man. Terry grabs AJ and picks him up by the throat and then tosses him into the corner. Terry then nails AJ with repeated shoulder blocks in the corner and then lifts him up into a Backdrop. Terry charges at AJ again but AJ gets his boots up. Terry actually grabs AJ’s boots and then drops him and hits a Back Elbow. Terry lifts AJ up onto the top rope and chokes him on the top rope. Terry then Chokeslams AJ off the top rope! Terry then picks AJ up but AJ comes back with a cross chop to the throat out of nowhere followed by a series of Flair Chops. Those chops only seem to piss off the big man and then AJ goes to whip Terry into the ropes but Terry blocks it. AJ then pokes Terry in the eyes and shoves Hebner away as Hebner argued with him about that. AJ then tries to whip Terry into the corner but Terry reverses it sending AJ right towards Hebner, but Hebner ducks and AJ is able to float up and over Hebner, but when AJ lands Terry grabs him in a waistlock. AJ reaches out and grabs Hebner and then mule kicks Terry in the nuts! AJ then hits the Pele followed by the Springboard 450! 1…2…3 and AJ retains the belt.
Winner & STILL TV Champ: Styles via pinfall (Springboard 450)
They run a vignette where Kurt Angle talks about doing this thing where he wrestles the entire Top 10 Rankings List. He says this will prove without a shadow of a doubt that he is the greatest wrestler in the history of wrestling. He says it has nothing to do with ego but it has everything to do with the fact that he’s done everything and he needs to push himself. Angle says he can prove to himself all over again that he is the very best. Angle says he can’t lose and he won’t lose because he’s not ready to leave wrestling because this is his life. He says he’s more hungry than he’s ever been.
Earlier Today Lethal talks to the camera about how he can’t believe he beat Ric Flair. He then says he was talking to Kurt Angle who told him that he’s missing that one thing that will make him a man in the business and Lethal says he’s right. He says he’s sure this match tonight is a setup and he says he’ll leave that little boy that was so excited to face Ric Flair at home and he’s bring the man to the Street Fight.
———————-COMMERCIAL BREAK—————————–
A video package hyping up next week’s big “Whole F’N Show” Impact special airs hyping up the card which will feature RVD defending the TNA Title against Abyss.
In the back Madison and Velvet are going at it! The mystery woman and Lacey try to keep them apart as security also comes in. Velvet shoves Lacey to the side and Lacey hits an equipment case. Velvet screams that she hates Madison and then sees Lacey laying out on the floor and pretty much blames Madison for it.
Beer Money’s music hits and they are followed by the Guns. I believe this is Beer Money’s first time in Ultimate X. They show highlights of the first 3 matches in the series. Beer Money is up 2-1 and if they win tonight they win the Tag Titles. If the Machine Guns win then it moves to a Series deciding 5th Match at next week’s “Whole F’N Show” Impact. Beer Money gets on the microphone and Roode says it’s no secret that the two teams hate each other, but the fact is that Beer Money and Machine Guns have redefined Tag Team wrestling and they have taken Tag Team wrestling to a new level over the last several weeks. Roode says he has no doubt that the Guns are a great team but he and Storm have had one goal and that’s to be the best tag team in the world and the only way to be the best is to wear those title belts. Roode says tonight in the Guns match not only will they beat the Guns at their own game but they will be 4-time Tag Champs and holds up the four fingers. Sabin grabs a microphone and asks Roode if they see the belts around their waists. He says they ARE the Tag Champs and they ARE the best in the world and those belts prove it. Sabin says they chose Ultimate X for a reason and he says it’s their world and what they do. He says the only way they’ll take the belts from them is to pry them from their cold dead fingers! Roode suggests they stop talking and do it and then the two teams get in each other faces with Shelley holding his tag title up.
———————-COMMERCIAL BREAK—————————–
Match 4 in Best of 5 Series
Ultimate X Match
Beer Money Inc. vs. Motor City Machine Guns
Back from commercials the bell rings and both Sabin and Shelley go to corners and start climbing up but Beer Money pull them down. Roode whips Sabin into one corner and Storm whips Shelley into another. They both charge at the Guns but both members of the Guns avoid them. Sabin with a Running Clothesline to Storm and Shelley with one to Roode. Sabin then hits one on Roode and Shelley with one on Storm! Shelley tosses Storm out to the floor and then Sabin tosses Roode out. Sabin with a Springboard Plancha over the top from one side and Shelley with one from the opposite side onto to the floor onto Beer Money! The Guns climb back into the ring and then Sabin climbs up the scaffolding as Shelley plays guard for him. Shelley cuts Roode off as he tries to get in the ring but Storm sneaks in behind him and pulls Sabin down off the cables. Storm whips Sabin into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Sabin ducks and then leaps off of Shelley’s back into a dropkick that knocks Roode off the apron! Shelley then hits a drop toe hold on Storm followed by a Bulldog from Sabin! Roode comes charging in and Shelley drop toe holds Roode on top of Storm! In one of the craziest submissions I’ve ever seen Shelley wraps Roode’s legs up in kind of a modified Death Lock while pulling back on a Crossface on Storm at the same damn time! Sabin starts climbing up to the cables again. Roode breaks the hold with repeated back elbows and then he pulls Sabin down off the cables again. Beer Money then lift Sabin up and toss him into the corner. They turn around to see Shelley already up on the cables and making his way across them! Roode pulls Shelley down into an Atomic Drop! Roode then catapults Shelley into a wicked DDT from Storm! Roode tells Storm to climb up but he says he’s been drinking too much and Roode doesn’t seem to want to be the one to do the climbing either. Roode starts climbing up the scaffolding but seems extremely nervous. Storm sees Shelley getting to his feet so he charges at him but Shelley ducks and then holds Storm in the corner for Sabin to come flying in with a Running Back Elbow! The Guns then crotch Roode on the top rope! Shelley grabs Storm and holds him as Sabin hits a Leaping Enziguri to the back of Storm’s head followed by Shelley Flatlining Storm into the middle turnbuckle! Storm drops down in a heap in the corner and then Shelley pulls Roode down backwards into the Tree of Woe hanging him right on his partner as well (with his head pretty much in Storm’s crotch!)! Sabin then hits the Hesitation Dropkick sending Roode’s head into Storm’s junk! His weekend, officially ruined. Shelley actually stands on Roode’s balls now! Storm then climbs up the scaffold and starts climbing the cables as Roode reverses a waistlock on Sabin and then shoves him into a big boot from Storm. Roode hits Sabin with a Back Suplex and then Storm grabs Shelley by the feet. Beer Money pull Shelley down and then they go for the DWI but Shelley kicks Storm in the head and then hits a series of nasty Knee Strikes on Roode. Shelley then goes for the Sliced Bread on Roode but Roode blocks it and Shelley lands down right on the Backstabber from Storm! Beer Money then hit the Beer Money Double Suplex on Shelley! Roode’s forehead is busted open. Sabin is climbing up the scaffolding and Roode pulls him down and knocks him off the apron. Beer Money whip Shelley into the corner and then Storm hits a Running Clothesline and then one from Roode. Storm lifts Shelley up on the top rope and follows him up as Roode starts climbing the cables. Shelley punches Storm in the gut and then hits a Super Atomic Drop off the top! Roode almost reaches the big X but Shelley grabs him by the leg and pulls him down. Shelley then hits a Back Kick and then he hit’s one of the nastiest Spike DDT’s I have ever seen! Shelley lifting himself straight up into the air and then back down right into a nasty DDT. Shelley climbs up top and hits the Diving Double Foot Stomp on Roode off the top as Storm charged at him, he actually leaped over Storm as he hit the move! Shelley climbs up top again and Storm follows him but Shelley pokes him in the eyes! Shelley climbs the cables and almost gets to the X when Storm pulls him down into an 8-Second Ride! Sabin is up top and he climbs up the scaffolding and starts scaling the cables! Storm climbs up with Sabin and Sabin starts kicking Storm! Sabin wraps his legs around Storm’s head and hits a Hurricanrana off the damn cables! Good lord have mercy. Sabin walks into a nasty Spinebuster from Roode! Roode screams at Storm to get to his feet and guard him while he climbs. Roode actually stands on Storm’s shoulders and Storm pretty much walks him to the X but the Guns cut them off! The hit Double Roundhouse Kicks on Storm and then pull Roode off the cables almost into a Splash on Storm! The Guns look exhausted now as the fans chant “this is awesome.” Storm hits a Back kick on Storm on the apron and then hits a freaking Sliced Bread on Storm on the damn apron! Are you serious?! How the hell is Storm not dead?! Roode climbs up all the way to the top of the scaffolding now! He actually starts tightrope walking the cables using the top of the scaffolding to balance himself! Now that is pretty unique, haven’t seen that yet in UX. On the other side Sabin starts scaling the cables as well! They race to the X and Sabin gets their first! Sabin wraps his legs around the cables and then he and Roode start kicking each other. Sabin kicks Roode’s legs out from under him and Roode gets crotched on the cables and then falls to the mat! Sabin pulls the X down and we are tied the hell up! Damn what a match!
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns via pulling the X down
In the back Bischoff and Hogan are walking and Tenay says they are going to reveal details for next weeks shows next.
———————-COMMERCIAL BREAK—————————–
Hulk Hogan’s music hits and he, Ms. Tessmacher, and Bischoff make their way out to the ring. Bischoff says he wants to get down to business tonight because next week is “The Whole F’n Show” and says next week will be PPV-quality on free TV. A graphic comes up hyping up the show and it says “no talk, all action.” Bischoff says Abyss will face RVD next week in a Stairway to Janice Match (think the Stairway to Hell Match back in the old ECW) and Bischoff says he will be the referee! Also, Beer Money vs. the Machine Guns in Match 5 of the Best of 5! Also, Angle vs. AJ Styles one-on-one in a rematch from their Match of the Year Candidate earlier this year. Angelina Love will face Madison Rayne for the Knockouts Title and also Jeff Hardy has an Open Challenge to “anybody in the wrestling world.” Also, Mr. Anderson vs. Matt Morgan vs. The Pope in a 3-Way Dance! Kevin Nash’s music hits and the big man interrupts Hogan and Bischoff.
Ms. Tessmacher bails out as Nash gets in the ring. Nash has a serious look on his face this week. Nash says he’s finally got some face time with Hogan and Bischoff and he says once again he’s not on the card for next week. Hogan says Nash needs to open his eyes and see what’s going on in TNA. Hogan says he’s stepped back, Jarrett’s stepped back, and Nash needs to step back as well because their time is over. He says Lethal, Beer Money, The Guns, etc. are the stars that will take TNA into the future. Hogan says there’s no more conning for paychecks and minimum efforts, maximum paychecks. He says the politics over but Nash sarcastically says Hulk Hogan is actually talking to him about politics. Bischoff says that Nash’s whole career has never been anything but politics. Nash channels Clint Eastwood and says sometimes you meet someone in your life that you shouldn’t have messed with and he’s one of them. Nash tosses Bischoff into a corner and then turns around and swings at Hogan but Hogan blocks the shot and nails Nash with a series of rights. Hogan grabs Nash but Nash low blows him! Nash beats on Hogan in the corner as Bischoff gets back to his feet. Taz mentions that Hogan just had back surgery. Nash goes out to the floor and grabs a steel chair! Nash lays the chair down in the ring and gets ready to Jackknife Hogan onto it! Bischoff tries to stop Nash but Nash shoves him away. Hogan then tosses Hogan aside and picks up the chair and before he can swing it Jarrett comes in and attacks Nash! Jarrett beats on Nash until Sting comes from out of nowhere decked in red face paint! Sting knocks the chair out of Jarrett’s hands and then nails Jarrett with the bat! Sting tosses the bat to Nash and Nash nails Jarrett with it as well! Sting then belts Hogan with the chair! Sting looks over at Nash as we cut to a break.
———————-COMMERCIAL BREAK—————————–
Back from commercials Christy Hemme approaches Sting and Nash in the back. She asks them about what just happened but both just walk off.
Orlando Jordan vs. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero
Jordan rubs his nipple with a lollipop and then tries to put it in So Cal Val’s mouth (insert your own joke there) but she’s having none of it. Pope is ready to lockup but Jordan holds up one finger and licks it and he’s grossing me and The Pope alike out. He starts sucking on his finger and goes to put it on Pope but Pope shoves him away. Pope says “if we’re gonna’ wrestle then let’s wrestle” and Jordan grabs him quickly and locks on a waistlock. He hits a Gutwrench Slam but then Pope reverses the waistlock. Pope shows off his mat wrestling transitioning from a waistlock into a headlock and back into a waistlock in seconds. Jordan backs Pope into the corner and then starts grinding on him (oh God I can’t believe I just typed that). Pope is freaked out and pushes Jordan off of him. Pope then Pimp Slaps him repeatedly! Pope hits another Pimp Slap and then grabs ahold of him in the corner. The referee tires to separate them and Pope shoves him away which allows Jordan time to recover and nails Pope with a right hand. Jordan puts the boots to Pope and then hits a series of Knee Drops. Jordan reigns down rights and lefts on Pope and then Eric Young runs down and starts shoving those fake dollar bills that come down from the ceiling during Pope’s entrance and starts shoving them down his pants and in his pockets. Jordan tries to figure out what the hell he’s doing and then turns around into a clothesline from Pope. Pope then hits an Atomic Drop followed by a big Backdrop. Pope pulls down the knee pads and then as Jordan gets to his feet near the corner Pope kills him in the corner with the DDE! Pope mixes it up this time as he actually lands on the top rope and drops down into a Reverse X-Factor! 1…2…3 and Pope gets the win.
Winner: Pope via pinfall (DDE)
After the match Matt Morgan sneaks into the ring and kicks Pope and then nails him with a clothesline. Mr. Anderson’s music hits and the a**hole runs down to the ring with a chair! He chases Morgan out of the ring and then Dinero and Anderson get in each others faces. Security runs out, yep it’s Murphy & Gunner again, and they tell them to get to the back. Pope leaves the ring as Anderson gets in their faces.
In the back Christy Hemme is with Ric Flair. She asks Flair if he thinks he can beat Lethal and Flair tells her to never ask him anything that stupid again. He says he’s the greatest wrestler to ever live. Flair says he will walk that aisle tonight looking only the way he can and he says two men walk out but only one will walk back. Flair says that Lethal will know he is a wrestling God tonight and he says tonight Lethal dies! Woooooo!
———————-COMMERCIAL BREAK—————————–
Street Fight
Jay Lethal vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair
Lethal is dressed in old school street fight attire wearing blue jeans (knee pads and all) and a wife beater. Flair actually is wearing a designer suit to this fight and Taz says he can’t believe Flair is wearing that. Flair pokes Lethal in the eyes as the match starts and then chops away at Lethal. Flair rips Lethal’s wife beater off and starts chopping away at Lethal. Flair then low blows Lethal! Flair kicks Lethal in the knee and then he goes out to the floor and pulls out a trashcan full of weapons! Lethal rolls out to the floor on the other side and rolls under the ring. As Flair gets back into the ring and tries to figure out where Lethal went Lethal crawls out from under the ring on the other side and then hits the Springboard Missile Dropkick! Lethal pulls Flair’s coat off and then chops Flair! Lethal pulls Flair’s shirt over his head and chops Flair some more! Lethal puts the boots to Flair and chops him some more. Lethal whips Flair into the corner and then hits the backdrop! Lethal grabs a kendo stick and blasts Flair with it! Flair is already busted open. Lethal chops Flair some more and then mounts him in the corner and reigns down right hands. Flair comes out of the corner swinging wildly and then face plants only the way Flair can! All of a sudden Douglas Williams walks out to ringside for some reason as Lethal nails Flair with a cookie sheet! Lethal actually rips Flair’s pants off him! Flair is wearing some flowery underwear, oh man. Taz says he’s wearing a $3,000 suit but Wal-Mart underwear, priceless. Lethal pulls Flair’s belt off and starts nailing him with it. Lethal pulls off Flair’s shoes and socks and everything. Flair tries to hit Lethal with the trashcan but Lethal blocks it and nails Flair with it! Flair comes back with a poke to the eyes and then he climbs up and that fails for the 50,000,000th time as Lethal hits him with the cookie sheet. Lethal climbs up with Flair and hits the Superplex! 1…2…NO Williams pulls Lethal out! Lethal decks Williams and then climbs to the top rope. As Flair gets to his feet Lethal dives off the top with a Sunset Flip but Flair blocks it! Oh my God, Lethal pulls Flair’s underwear down as he’s going for the Sunset Flip and Flair moons the world! Thank you Jesus for censors! Flair holds his undies up and then decks Lethal as Hebner pulls his underwear up (disturbing). Williams then nails Lethal with the X-Division Title from the outside and Flair covers Lethal! 1…2…Lethal gets his foot on the bottom rope but Williams knocks it off…3!
Winner: Flair via pinfall

Tonight he teams with Dreamer in the Main Event, Sunday he’s in the Main Event against an opponent that he doesn’t even know who is yet, and then next week he has to face Abyss. RVD says he’ll take it one night at a time and tonight he gets to team with a longtime friend in Tommy Dreamer. Van Dam says he’s focused about tonight but he can’t wait to face Abyss next week. Van Dam says after tonight he’ll focus on Hardcore Justice. Jerry Lynn then walks up and says he’s already focused on Hardcore Justice because on that night he and Van Dam get to tear it up one more time as RVD looks on in shock! Lynn says good luck and then walks off as Van Dam still looks stunned and says “Jerry Lynn…”. Tenay and Taz discuss RVD vs. Lynn for Hardcore Justice.

Mick Foley walks out as well and then calls for more to come out. Simon Diamond, Al Snow, and Jerry Lynn come out with a cooler full of beers as we go off the air.
The show ends with a hype video for the PPV with the ECW guys talking about ECW.
Final Thoughts
Tonight’s show wasn’t very good again this week, 2 in a row. The in-ring stuff was bad except for Ultimate X. Not much of the promos were good either.
The opening promo with Raven and Dreamer was actually very good, for those of us that knew what the hell they were talking about. The fans that didn’t follow ECW were probably scratching their head but I’m sure most of the viewers knew exactly what they were talking about. I love that we’re actually getting an old feud and not just “I respect you, you respect me, now let’s beat each other with chairs” matches for the PPV. Raven is still awesome on the microphone.
The Knockouts match was sloppy as hell and 99% of that was Lacey. She’s just bad. I like the team of Hamada and Taylor but hate the fact that they got a shot at the belts their fist time teaming up let alone winning them. The match was all about the BP drama though.
AJ/Terry was a bad as expected. Terry dominated him for 5 minutes and then AJ cheating to get his win. Now, let’s move onto AJ/Kurt and leave Terry in the rearview.
Beer Money/Machine Guns was excellent like always. I loved the match and it was one of the better Tag Team Ultimate X’s (and there has been some great ones). Give Roode and Storm credit here. Both teams worked their a**es off and they just keep raising the bar every week. The promo before the match added a lot to it as well in my opinion and I absolutely loved the creative finish. We need more of this and less of everything we got tonight.
The Bischoff, Hogan, Nash, Sting angle was just confusing. So Sting in the red face paint so are they reforming the Wolfpac? I mean really? Do we need yet another nWo reformation?
Dinero and Jordan was surprisingly (and disturbingly) entertaining. Mainly because Pope played off it so well. Young’s gimmick is just dumb, stop.
Flair-Lethal was bad. They had a good match at the PPV but this wasn’t good at all. At least Lethal did look strong and Williams interference was weird. They could’ve at least confirmed that Flair paid him off.
Awesome that Lynn made an appearance. The look on RVD’s face was priceless, it was short and subtle but effective.
The Main Event was actually a good, fun little match. Surprising as hell that a non-hardcore match with 3 guys that almost exclusively wrestle hardcore styles actually coming off as good as it was. The stuff afterward was awesome though. Sandman got a HUGE reaction and that was a cool moment. He actually didn’t look as bad as I figured he would.
